Plenty of places to find a spot to relax. Sit in the shade or soak up the sun.

Excerpt from "Eating 100" by Johnathan Levine (2004 edition)

"It's hard to put your finger on it, but there's something special about staying at the Red Oak Inn. The lodge is nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it's comfortable, homey, and the kind of place you'll want to return to time and time again. The inn's new owners have all the bases covered when it comes to providing relaxed hospitality. First of all, despite not being originally from Vermont, they are the most gracious innkeepers this side of Bob Newhart. They are interested in their guests happiness, but are not obtrusive. The rooms, which are very affordable, are each decorated differently and come with all the essentials - an alarm clock, coffee maker, and even telephone.

Outside of your room and inside the inn, there are all kinds of interesting things to keep you busy. Relax in an inviting living room or pull a stool up to the bar at the inns diminutive pub; there is a pool table, video games, and an exercise room with sauna, and during the summer, guests can escape in a clean, heated, outdoor pool that's surrounded by trees. Breakfast is made each morning for the guests and is served with homemade fresh muffins. The Red Oak,a two story classic New England ski bunker which offers four season appeal, sits right on Route 100, just miles from Mount Snow. It's like a 1950's postcard come to life."
